AOC has been officially ranked the No.1 LCD Monitor Brand in India in the DIY market for the first quarter of 2011 by IDC. AOC, a pioneering manufacturer of display products for over 70 years, launched several new LCD models late last year, including the ultra-slim “Razor” series. By creating a variety of LCD screens with different functional options for consumers, AOC aims to meet market demand more successfully than competing brands.
According to the IDC Quarterly PC Monitor Report Q1’2011, AOC ranked as the No.1 monitor brand in India, with 20.5% market share and year on year growth over 26%. AOC is now the No.1 brand in both India and Asia Pacific regions, whilst international market share continues to rise.
IDC, an international research and information institution, analyses regional sales volumes, distribution channels, pricing, vendor strategies, consumer awareness and brand recognition to rank the leading brands of LCD monitor. AOC ranked No.1 in India in IDC’s analysis for the first quarter of 2011, identified as the most well-known brand in the region, with a sharp rise in market share.
“The right model mix at the right time at right price” is the main advantage of AOC in India. With the right product portfolio, the AOC India sales team focused on expanding the sales and distribution network throughout the year. The number of partners grew from 3000 in early 2010, to 3500 by Q1’2011.
In Q1’2011, AOC invested heavily in IT Channel marketing, and participated in 7 exhibitions across India, organized 4 AOC Premier League Cricket Tournaments for channel partners in different locations, conducted a widespread channel ad campaign and invested in massive in-shop and on-shop branding with glowing signboards, shop displays, print collateral, etc.
The AOC India Facebook page also helps to build a more direct communication with channel and customers. Meanwhile, AOC’s services fully meet customers’ needs since AOC is the only monitor brand in India to offer service 7 days a week.
AOC intends to push service even further to reach higher standards. With effect from 1 Jan 2011, AOC initiated service call support 365 days a year (vs. Monday to Friday previously).
